Hawai'i: Days 7 - 9

DAY 7 -  Back in Honolulu and enjoying it with Landry and Kristina!

Spent the morning/afternoon on this beach below.

This little island off the beach may not seem too far in the picture, but when you swim, it sure feels far.  It probably took us a good 30 to 45 minutes.

 We made it!

On our way back to the beach, Landry finds a sea horse!

Caleb likes the sea horse!

Not sure what I was thinking...

Kristina loves the sea horse!

A beautiful lookout off the side of the road.

Crazy root tree near Waikiki Beach

View of Waikiki from the water.

That evening, we went to a Luau!

The luau was off the beach outside!

Prior to dinner and luau show, there were various activities.

Kristina and I attempting to spear the hay...fail!

Pictures can be deceiving.  Caleb failed as well.

We made flower bracelets!

If you look closely, you can see Landry and Caleb in the back.  They were the only men to volunteer to go on stage...with a bunch of children.  Haha!

DAY 8 - Last full day in Honolulu.

First stop - Pearl Harbor.  Prior to being boated out to the USS Arizona Memorial off of Pearl Harbor, we watched a 20-minute video about the attack.  Very well done.

Later in the day, we went snorkeling at Sharks Cove.  So fun!  Landry had been told fish love frozen green peas and so we bought a few bags.  We found...fish DO love green peas!

A few videos of us feeding the fish!

Unfortunately most of the fish that liked the peas were the ugly grey fish.  Luckily, we still saw several beautiful fish at the bottom.  Here's a picture of a few!

We also swam with a turtle which was super fun, but unfortunately, no picture.  Oh, and we jumped off a smaller cliff, which took me probably a good 5 to 10 minutes to muster up the courage to do so...

We spent the latter part of the day on this beach.  The boys (and Kristina occasionally) played like children in the water.  I was always lazy, just laying on the beach or lying on the inner tube.

Kristina in true Hawaiian style!

To end the day, Landry and Caleb jumped off another cliff.  I was thankful no one pressured me to jump this time!!

Another beautiful rainbow as we were leaving the North Shore!

DAY 9 - We left first thing Sunday morning.  So sad, yet so happy and thankful to have enjoyed such a great trip together while also getting to visit great friends!  We love and miss you, Landry and Kristina!!
